Dr. Lauren W. Yowelunh McLester-Davis is a citizen of the Oneida Nation of Wisconsin. Her PhD in neuroscience was focused on community-based participatory research with an emphasis on working for sovereign nations. As the Director of Indigenous Science Advocacy in Native American Center for Health Professions at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, she aids in capacity building efforts to support Tribal institutional review boards, data sovereignty, and research engagement with Wisconsin’s Native Nations.
