Mary Beth Jäger serves as a research coordinator for the Tishman Center For Social Justice and the Environment. Jäger works on several research projects focused on Indigenous-led research and Indigenous Knowledges to advance equity and justice and advises affiliated graduate students on research methodologies and their research projects. Before starting at Tishman Mary Beth worked for a decade as a research analyst at the Native Nations Institute (NNI) at the University of Arizona and one of the founding members of the Collaboratory. Also, they serve as an experienced co-lead for the Fostering Indigenous-led Research Convergence Work Group hosted by the NSF funded Navigating the New Arctic-Community Office. The position started when she worked at the University of Arizona. Mary Beth earned her Masters in Social Work at Washington University in St. Louis and her bachelor’s degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages at Carroll College in Montana.
